Adriana Trujillo. Filmmaker, media programmer and curator from Tijuana-San Diego border region, focus on non fiction films and social impact projects. Her artistic practice include the production and research in media with emphasis in hybrid forms of contemporary cinema, experimental video and found footage. She holds a M.A. in Creative Documentary at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has been selected for Berlinale Docs Station, Emerging Producer Ji.hlava, and the Ibermedia Scriptwriters Program in Lima. Her work had been part of the International Film Festivals and Galleries Vincent Price Museum Los Angeles, Sydney HMFF, Foundation for Art and Creative Technology FACT and Home Movies in Liverpool, Medellin Arts Biennale MDE11, Iowa Film Festival, Pop-Up Space Finland, Morelia, Guadalajara, DOCSMX festivals among others. She is the co-founder and artistic director of BorDocs Documentary Forum. Her projects have received support from IMCINE, FONCA, and the National System of Art Creators (SNCA). She has served as a juror for FOPROCINE, Plataforma DOCSMX, PECDA, Jóvenes Creadores, the Los Angeles Film Festival, DocuLab Guadalajara, Transborder Film Fellowship, among others. Adriana is the editor of the book Documentary Film in the North of México (2013) and was the director and programmer of Cine Tonalá Tijuana (2016-2020). Currently, she programs the bi-national selection Frontera Filmmakers for the San Diego Latino Film Festival and serves as the artistic director of Cinema Parallels in Republika Srpska.
